Total Net New Hires, FTE

Definition

This metric tracks the total number of net new full-time hires who joined the organization in the last calendar year.

Expanded Definition

The ESG Convergence Project specifies that in order to calculate total net new hires, you should take the new hires (the number of full-time employees joining the company, excluding hires that result from M&A) minus attrition (the number of FTE leaving the business) plus changes due to M&A (the net change in employees due to M&A) during a given year.
